Karen Woodard

About The Agent

Karen has spent 25 years in the real estate and oil and gas industries. She started out as a real estate and oil and gas paralegal and transitioned to a full-time landman. Through her career, she has worked in a variety of positions, including a landman, right of way agent, a contract specialist, and a real estate agent. Karen and her husband also raise cattle and hunt on their farm in Arcadia. Her extensive experience with title insurance, land records, oil and gas companies, as well as her connection to hunting and raising cattle in North Louisiana, makes her a valuable addition to AFM Real Estate and a terrific resource for her clients.

Karen was raised in a military family, and her dad served in and retired from the Air Force. He met her mom in Okinawa, Japan, where Karen was born, and the family ended up at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. She has spent the majority of her life in Louisiana. Karen and her husband, Kerby, have called various areas in South and North Louisiana home over the years, but have raised their three children in Shreveport, Louisiana. Karen is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a B.A. and a Master’s in Business Administration.

For fun, Karen is a Pilates enthusiast and holds Pilates and Barre certifications. When Karen and Kerby are not traveling either to Houston to see their daughter and her family, or Dallas to see their son and his family, you can find them at LSU football games with their youngest. They also love to spend time at their farm and travel.

The number one driver for Karen is she loves all things land!
