AFM Land Surveying

(Charlotte, NC—June 1, 2026) American Forest Management (AFM) is pleased to present AFM Land Surveying, a subsidiary of AFM. This service line is available to new and existing clients in Michigan and can help landowners establish property corners and property boundaries, assist in property line disputes, and more.
Eric Stier, Managing Director of Northern U.S. and Central American Operations, said, “We have always offered everything a client needs except having their property legally surveyed. This new addition places AFM in a unique position as a true one-stop shop. AFM is the only consulting forestry provider in the area to directly offer this service.”
AFM Land Surveying will be directed by Stan Pelto and assisted by Kurt Huhta. Pelto has a Bachelor of Science in surveying from Michigan Technological University, and he has extensive experience as a land surveyor and project surveyor with the Michigan Department of Transportation, as well as other engineering and architectural firms. Huhta earned a Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying from Michigan Technological University, and he has worked as a land surveyor and survey technician for the Bureau of Land Management and other engineering and surveying firms. Together, they have a combined total of 58 years of experience in land surveying.
